Hinduism: The shame for Hindus

Culture, History, civilization: I consider them three pillars of development. Yes, it looks like idiotic but it is a fact. When we look around the world, we find the developed countries. We say to ourselves, why we cannot be as developed as they are. However, we always tend to forget that they are developed because they believe in what they are and feel proud to be what they are. They feel proud of their history. They feel proud of their civilization. Moreover, they feel and take pride in preserving and maintaining their civilization and culture. In addition, they have built themselves over the base of their heritage, which they really feel proud off.

If that is the case, what about us? Aren’t we feel like the same? The plain and simple answer is “NO”. In addition, “No” it was, “No” it is and really cannot say whether “No” it will be or not. Because we chase after them, trying to be like them rather than like ourselves.

The Hindus in India consider chanting “Jai Shri Ram” as shame. They feel insulted in hailing the God they believe in. Hindus in India themselves question Ramayana, Mahabharata, Vedas, Purans and their existence and consider them mythologies and not history. Hindus feel that if we talk about the power of Lord Ram as in Ramayan, others will laugh at them. They feel, if talk about Hanuman or disguise as Hanuman, people will consider them comedians and stupid, talking about a monkey having aerial power and humongous strength. But what for they feel insulted? That is the history of Hindus, the history of us, our mother land : India and infact the universal history with which all started.

When you talk about Hindu history and epics, talk with pride. Why not? After all we should follow the traits of what they teach us. Our vedas, puranas were no less powerful than scientific theories.  Even international academics accept that. Leave apart the portion of which others make fun about. In fact why should we even care about others think? We Should take the learnings that Ramayan or Mahabharata provides about “The Truth”, “Win of good over evil”, communicate them and spread them as part of our culture. Our holy books, provide solution to each and every problems of our life, our place and this world.  When we start respecting them, we will automatically grow and grow good for ourselves as well as for others.

 Now the question is how it did start and when did we forget to respect our culture. Why is it that today, if we Hindus hail “Jai Sri Ram”, we are deemed communal. Many blame that it is because of the Right Wing group of our country who is responsible for politicizing and polarizing by raking the Ram Temple issues repeatedly. Really? Is it true? If that is true, then let us go a bit more to the history.

The so-called liberals and seculars of our secular country had always been liberal only when it comes to Hinduism. During independence, India (including Pakistan and Bangladesh) had almost 80% Hindu population. However, the liberals/seculars of India during that partition did not leave any stone unturned to make sure almost 40-50% of India is partitioned out. As a result, Assam, West Bengal, entire Jammu and Kashmir, North Eastern states were all included to be part of Pakistan. It is almost because of the efforts of Sardar Patel, that we could save Assam, West Bengal and Kashmir. When Pakistan illegally attacked Jammu and Kashmir, even after Hari Singh decided to be independent, Hari Singh sought help from India and agreed for a complete accession under India. However, our honourable first Prime Minister was so soft hearted that he did not allow the Indian Army to move ahead of current Indian Kashmir. It was as if, he gifted away azad Kashmir and gilgit/Baltistan to Pakistan. Then came the generations of the leftists. The leftists always come up with propagandas. The left

The leftists’ sole propaganda has been to make sure they blind fold Indians of their faith spreading the negativities about the faith we follow, and create a fake belief that the western way of thinking is the only way to progress. And if we follow our traditions, we will remain backward. Starting from the Indo Aryan myths, to Goddess Durga being depicted as a sexy lady and onto spreading the fake propaganda that Ram Temple in Ayodhya never existed, they and their so called pseudo liberal media had left no stone unturned to continuously defame our history and our religion and culture. The left liberals created an image of our gods in our minds as such imaginary creations, that we, the Hindus have not only started feeling shame about our gods, but also forget our rich history of Vedas, and puranas. Indians have reached a stage where they are ready to make English as their national language to represent them, but not any indigenous language. We have forget that our origins Devanagri is the most scientific script ever created. We forget that not only Hindi, but languages like Tamil are as old as many couldn’t even. We have our indigeneous languages like Urdu, Bengali, Oriya and so many but we still try to include English/Arabic as languages of sole importance.

While this happened, a different group of the Leftist group, the so called self proclaimed Historians (who considered themselves more than archeologists), Irfan Habib/Romila Thapar, did and circulated the fake propagandas like Ram Temple doesn’t exist at Ayodhya, Ram setu is a myth and hypothetical, Dwarka city is all fake and what not. It was only till real archeologists like Dr K K Muhammad exposed these fake historians and provided real ground reports of temple pillars that originally existed in Ayodhya. It was only till NASA exposed them and provided live videographies of Ram Setu. It was only till excavation did found out remains of Dwarka Nagari.

So, over all of these, what was congress doing over the years? Well original congress established in 1885 by WC Bonnerjee and and the congress from near independence era are quite different. The congress under Nehru and Gandhi has always almost had no love for Hindus, and that was more for political reasons. Nehru’s book “Discovery of India” which mentions “Aryans did come to India around 5000 years ago” was a deliberate attempt to spread the propaganda of British, who always have tried to induce a doubt about the civilizations of our country. Aryan theory as mentioned above is in itself proven wrong. Despite all these, many say that congress during the time of Indira Gandhi, was more of a Hindutva party with her hard line Hindutva propagandas to earn Hindu votes. Was that the truth ? No, its all fake. We need to understand who the Hindus of India first. During partition, India was divided on religious grounds only on the basis of Hindus and Muslims. No other religion was considered. Except Muslims, any other religion has no problem staying or in their association with Hindus. So when we talk about Hindus in India, its any non-muslim religion. So what did Indira Gandhi do ? She opted the British policy of divide and rule, but applied that to make Hindus important in front of their own associations like Sikhs, Jains, parsis. Or in simple terms fight Hindus against Hindus themselves while smartly saving congress’s Muslim vote bank. Muslims were nowhere in the picture. Congress has always been hypocritical to Hindus, and that especially aggravated once Sonia Gandhi came into picture. Between 2004-2014, congress acted like a B-team of the left in propagating hate against the Hindus, starting from questioning existing of Lord Ram, Ram Setu, Dwarika nagari, and promoting the concept of Hindu terrorism, Hindu Pakistan and what not.  

The left and congress, had their stakes in creating an environment where we almost forget our origins, culture, civilization, and start following the West. These kind of negative promotions have diluted the very facts that were written in our historical artifacts, which in now way are lesser scientific than any modern day science. Fact is, we can never be a developed country as long as we do not value our own history (and of course not consider it as mythology).

Our culture teaches us about Yoga. Discussing and talking about Yoga is not a shame but should be something we should feel prioud off.

Our culture tells us about Suryanamaskar. Doesn’t mean we necessarily have to take is as praying to sun as god. Its also scientific how Suryanamaskar is good for health. We should discuss and promote it. While promoting we should also not shaming having telling Surya is also considered a devata in our ancient history and how the two are related. Similary moon, star, planets, we have significance about everything. If we do not know the significance we should not shy away from knowing and spreading them. That is how our country’s origin shall be re created.
